Oh what a night!
Last Friday 5th August saw the Twilight Road Races come to Ipswich town centre and we were the chosen charity. The were over 1,000 runners who showed up to try and beat the sunset.
We had such an enjoyable night! Our Inspire team were in full attendance and it was hard not to see an Inspire red logo in any direction you looked. (more…)

With Wimbledon underway, we have tennis on the brain and hope you do too! We want everyone to get involved in tennis so we are holding FREE tennis sessions at our Ipswich HQ on Lindbergh Road for 6 to 14 year olds.
These will be held on Tuesdays from 5.30 until 6.30pm starting this Tuesday on 5th July with the aim to provide accessible sport sessions and keep local children active. (more…)

We are astounded by the amount of support we have received for our Strictly Charity fundraiser! We have had numerous local businesses who have kindly donated their time and services to our charity for the evening including Ipswich School of Dancing who are training our dancers.

On Wednesday and Thursday we were at the Suffolk Show speaking to people about our charity and running an activity called the ‘Step Up Challenge’! Lots of adults and children took part to see how many steps they could do on our stepper in thirty seconds with an overwhelming and very energetic response! (more…)

Calling all local football teams!
We are hosting a Summer football tournament on Sunday 14th August 2014 for local teams (ages U8-U12 for the 16/17 season) at our Ipswich site on Lindbergh Road.
The tournament will host 40 teams for an all-day event and is a great opportunity for your team to get some games in before the season starts – just £25 per team! (more…)

Yesterday marked the end of Mental Health Awareness Week which had a theme of relationships.
Mental Health Awareness Week takes place each year to raise awareness of the important issue of mental health, which will affect one in four people in the UK this year, as reported by City AM last week. The theme of the week was relationships, urging for people to understand how fundamental relationships are to our health and well-being. (more…)

Want to pursue your interest in sport once you’ve left school? At Inspire, we run Level 2 & Level 3 Sports Coaching Apprenticeships for 16-19 year olds who are interested in developing a career in Sports Coaching whilst gaining practical experience in the coaching industry.
We will be holding an induction day to the programme on Thursday 2nd June from 9.30am-12.00pm to provide an insight of what the scheme entails. (more…)

We have partnered with Willis Towers Watson to offer over 200 young people in Suffolk the opportunity to complete the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.
NCS is a four week programme which enables 15 -17 year olds from any background to become directly involved in their communities. (more…)
