YES. Youth employment service

Helping 16-24-year-olds in East Suffolk build confidence, gain new skills and take their next step into work, education or training.

Let’s figure out what’s next.

Whether you’re looking for work, exploring education or training, or simply don’t know where to start, YES (Youth Employment Service) is here to help.

You’ll be matched with your own dedicated coach, who’ll get to know you, help you figure out your goals, build on your strengths and create a plan that works for you. They’ll support you with everything from CVs and interviews to finding opportunities and settling into your new job, so you’re never figuring it out on your own.

Our East Suffolk YES project is a free service, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Your coach can help you…

  • Work out what suits you

Get to know your strengths, interests and what motivates you, then explore the options that are right for you.

  • Feel more confident

Learn new skills, tackle challenges and feel ready for whatever comes next, whether that’s practising interviews or even learning how to tie a tie.

  • Stand out from the crowd

Create a CV, search for jobs or courses, complete applications and prepare for interviews with someone by your side.

  • Keep moving forward

Starting a new job or course can feel overwhelming. Your coach will be there to support you as you settle in and grow in confidence.

Coach-led sessions and workshops

Our coach-led workshops and open sessions focus on the skills that help you succeed, both in work and in life. Whether it’s building confidence, getting interview-ready, creating healthy routines or hearing from local employers, you can pop along, learn something new and meet other young people on a similar journey.

Real stories. Real progress.

The best way to understand YES is to hear from the people who’ve been there. Everyone’s journey is different. Read their stories, see where they started and find out where they are now.
