Who we
support

Young people aged 5–25 across Suffolk.

Young people come to Inspire for all sorts of reasons. Some come for holiday clubs, football, friends or somewhere to go after school. Others need counselling, practical help or support with their next step into education, training or work.

Life isn’t equally easy for every young person. Money, transport, mental health, low confidence, poor attendance and food insecurity can quickly stack up. We look at the whole picture, not just one problem or programme.

For some, Inspire is simply a brilliant day out. For others, it can be a turning point. Both are equally important.

Every young person should have somewhere to go, someone they trust and the chance to discover what they can do.

20% young people aged 8–25 has a probable mental health disorder. (NHS England, 2023)
44% of young people aged 11–18 regularly feel lonely. (OnSide, 2024)
40% of 10–17-year-olds are worried about rising prices. (The Good Childhood Report, 2025)

I felt like an absolute failure before having dropped out of college and every relationship around me seemingly breaking down. Inspire really got me out of the slump that I was in.  They had belief in me when I did not believe in myself.”

“I wasn’t doing anything before I met Inspire. They motivated me and helped me to realise the path I’d like to take. I am no longer homeless, I have somewhere to call home and have a full time job doing something which I love. Inspire motivated me to make a change in my life when I was lost!”

Participated in Team Programme

Before I started Team Programme, I moved from Harlow to Felixstowe. I was worried I wouldn’t make any friends as I was leaving 20 years of my life behind. The experience helped me develop my social skills and my confidence in myself.

I was so caught up in believing that I wasn’t going to amount to anything that I never thought I could do what I wanted to do. I’m so glad that I did the programme because now I am doing exactly what I want to do!
