On Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting our first dinner dance in Lowestoft, where we have delivered our youth centred services for over 10 years. The Wherry Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for the occasion and the event was a resounding success, raising over £15,000 to help young people in Suffolk.
The main sponsor was Survival Systems International, whose generous support helped make the event a reality. Petrofac, George Bentley, Red and Black Fun Casinos, Simon Jay and Jay Simon (our hosts), Pagepix Photography, and Invisible Band were just a few of the organisations who provided contributions to help us raise the funds to power our invaluable work.
The dinner dance was a night to remember, filled with good food, music and dancing. Guests were treated to a delicious meal and had the opportunity to bid on a range of exclusive auction items, including a flight in a Tiger Moth. The night was not only a fundraiser, but also a celebration of the incredible work that Inspire does in the community and those that help us to make it happen.
Events and Fundraising Manager, Sara Warburton, said, “We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we received at our first dinner dance in Lowestoft. The generosity of everyone in the room exceeded our expectations, and the funds raised will make a significant impact in the lives of the young people we serve. It was a truly special evening, and we are thrilled to have raised such a fantastic amount that will help us to continue inspiring young people.”
The success of the dinner dance is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Inspire team and our community of support. Inspire is deeply grateful to everyone who made the event a success and helped raise such an incredible total, which will be used to continue and expand the charity’s vital programmes and services. The funds raised will make a significant difference in the lives of many young people in need, providing them with the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
