School Support

Empowering pupils with tailored support, Inspire works with schools to build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills for success.

Empowering Pupils Through Inspire

At Inspire, we help young people overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Our youth workers collaborate with schools to provide practical, motivational support that enhances pupils’ social, emotional, educational, and physical development. Every programme is designed to empower pupils to achieve their potential and feel confident about the future.

Tailored Programmes for Pupils

We offer both group sessions and individual mentoring or coaching, tailored to meet the unique needs of each pupil.

Group Sessions

Group work develops; teamwork, communication, resilience, and positive peer relationships. It’s especially effective for tackling issues like bullying, fostering inclusion, and supporting pupils at risk of disengaging from education. Where suitable, sessions can include AQA Unit Award Scheme certification, recognising pupils’ achievements.

Individual Support

Mentoring builds supportive relationships, while coaching is goal-oriented, helping pupils navigate challenges such as: Attendance and motivation, Positive relationships with peers and staff & Time management and goal setting.

Note: Our youth workers are not trained counsellors and do not provide therapy. However, schools can access mental health support through Inspire’s Wellbeing Service.

Working with schools

As a charity, Inspire is committed to supporting young people across our communities. Some school support is free, thanks to grant funding, donations and fundraising. To expand our services, we continue to seek additional funding, and schools can play a role by collaborating on grant applications, fundraising, or supporting services through school budgets.

Accessing support

Inspire’s support is currently available in schools across Suffolk, including in Ipswich, Lowestoft, Babergh and Mid-Suffolk. Referrals are managed internally by schools. To explore how Inspire can support you, your child or your pupils, speak to your SENCO, Safeguarding Lead, or Head of Year, or arrange a consultation with our Youth Engagement Lead.
