Youth Clubs and Drop-In Sessions in Suffolk
Somewhere to go. Something to do. People to meet.

Looking for a youth club near you?
Inspire runs free drop-in sessions for young people in Ipswich, Hadleigh and Lowestoft.
They’re relaxed places to meet friends, get involved in activities or simply spend some time away from home and school. There’s no pressure to join in with everything and no need to have been before.
Our youth workers are there throughout each session, getting involved, getting to know people and offering support when it’s needed.
When & where can I attend Drop-in?

What is a drop-in?
A drop-in is different from a class, course or organised club.
There isn’t one activity that everyone has to do. You can arrive during the session, see what’s happening and decide how you want to spend your time.
Depending on the location and the week, you might find:
- Pool, table football and console gaming
- Sports and team games
- Music, cooking and creative activities
- Snacks, drinks and somewhere comfortable to sit
- Youth workers you can talk to
- Space to catch up with friends
- Opportunities to try something new
Some weeks might include a tournament, workshop or group activity. Other weeks might be more about games, music and having somewhere to chill.

Information for parents and carers
Our drop-ins are run by experienced youth workers who take the time to get to know the young people attending.
Young people do not usually need to book before their first visit. When they arrive, our team will collect some basic information so that we can help keep them safe during the session.
They will then be given information for their parent or carer, including a consent form which must be completed before their next visit.
Individual listings explain the age range, location and anything else you need to know before attending.
Ipswich
Inspire, Lindbergh Road, Ipswich, IP3 9AX
Hadleigh

Come for the activities. Stay for the people.
You don’t need to be confident, know everyone or arrive with a big group of friends.
Some young people get involved straight away. Others take their time, watch what’s happening or find a quieter place to sit. Both are completely fine.
Our youth workers help make introductions, involve people in activities and create a welcoming space where young people can get to know each other naturally.

Open access and drop-in sessions
Sessions advertised as drop-in or outreach sessions do not require pre-booking or registration. These are open sessions, open to all young people in the community. When young people arrive for the first time, our youth workers will collect basic details in order to keep them safe during their first visit. They will then be given a letter for their parents or guardians and a link to a consent form. The consent form will then need to be completed by a parent or guardian before they return for their second visit.
Social Space and sessions for over 16s
We will ask you to complete a registration form when you come to your first session.
Other activities
Some activities may need pre-booking, such as some of our holiday programmes. This helps us to plan and ensure we have adequate resources for these sessions. Activities which require pre-booking will be listed on eequ.org/youthwork
