Turn Up & Play

These sessions are completely funded which allows us to offer free sport and activities to local young children.

Turn Up & Play has a fun and relaxed atmosphere where children and young people are provided with the platform to develop their social and physical skills.

At Inspire, our Turn Up and Play sessions make it easy for children and young people to get active, make friends and have fun – all for free. Whether you’re into football or just want to try out different sports, our friendly coaches create a welcoming space where everyone feels included. You don’t need to book, bring equipment or have experience – simply turn up, join in and enjoy. With sessions designed for different ages, there’s something for everyone to discover, learn and achieve. Come along, get moving and see where play can take you!

Frequently asked questions

  • Do you need to book for Turn Up & Play?

Places no longer need to be pre-booked!

Primary school age sessions – Simply bring your child to the venue a few minutes before the start of the session. There will only be a short form to fill in the first time your child takes part.

Sessions for year 7 and older – When young people arrive for the first time, our youth workers will collect basic details in order to keep them safe during their first visit. They will then be given a letter for their parents or guardians and a link to a consent form. The consent form will then need to be completed by a parent or guardian before they return for their second visit.

  • What sports can I take part in at Turn Up and Play

We offer sessions targeted at specific sports, as well as multi sport sessions. Follow the above links above to find out what is on offer in your local community this term.

  • Can you help me make friends?

We’re all about creating opportunities for young people to create lasting friendships. Our social activities are designed to do just that! From fast-paced game tournaments to cooking workshops, there’s always something to get stuck into.
