Drop In – Lowestoft

Friday Youth Drop-In in Lowestoft
Every Friday during term time, young people aged 11–16 can spend the evening at our free drop-in at Colville House.
Come along to see your friends, meet new people, play games or join whatever our youth workers have planned. Some Fridays might be busy and full of activities; others are simply a chance to relax and catch up at the end of the week.
You don’t need to book or arrive knowing anyone. Just come in and see what’s happening.
What happens at the drop-in?
There’s no set way to spend your evening. You could:
- Hang out with friends
- Play games
- Get involved in activities
- Meet other young people locally
- Chat with one of our youth workers
- Simply relax somewhere welcoming
Joining in is always your choice. If you would rather sit back and spend time with your friends, that’s completely fine too.
Youth workers you can get to know
Our Lowestoft youth workers run every drop-in and make sure it remains a safe, welcoming place for everyone.
They’ll help you settle in, get activities started and take the time to get to know you. They’re also there if you want advice, need some support or just fancy a chat.

Open access and drop-in sessions
Sessions advertised as drop-in or outreach sessions do not require pre-booking or registration. These are open sessions, open to all young people in the community. When young people arrive for the first time, our youth workers will collect basic details in order to keep them safe during their first visit. They will then be given a letter for their parents or guardians and a link to a consent form. The consent form will then need to be completed by a parent or guardian before they return for their second visit.
Social Space and sessions for over 16s
We will ask you to complete a registration form when you come to your first session.
Other activities
Some activities may need pre-booking, such as some of our holiday programmes. This helps us to plan and ensure we have adequate resources for these sessions. Activities which require pre-booking will be listed on eequ.org/youthwork
