This week, Inspire was proud to host the graduation celebration for Sharon Michell Centre for Counselling (SMCF) Level 4 trainee counsellors.
The event brought together trainees, tutors, placement providers and supporters to recognise the dedication, hard work and commitment shown throughout their counselling journey. During the ceremony, each graduate was presented with a Certificate of Recognition from both SMCFC and Inspire, celebrating their contribution and the positive impact they have made while supporting young people through our Wellbeing Service.
Their formal CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling qualification (BACP approved) will follow later this summer, marking the successful completion of years of study, supervised practice and professional development.
At Inspire, we know that meaningful partnerships create meaningful change. Our partnership with Sharon and the team at SMCFC is a wonderful example of this, bringing together experienced professionals, aspiring counsellors and our Wellbeing Service to make a lasting difference for young people across Suffolk.
Throughout their placements with Inspire, the trainee counsellors became valued members of our Wellbeing Service. Under supervision, they provided compassionate, professional support to young people, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience and feel heard during difficult times.
While this marks the end of their training, it also marks the beginning of exciting new careers. We hope to continue working with some of this year’s graduates as sessional counsellors, supporting even more young people through our Wellbeing Service in the future.
Every conversation matters. Every young person deserves the opportunity to be listened to, understood and supported. The time, care and empathy shown by these trainee counsellors has helped make that possible for many of the young people we work with.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Sharon for her continued support, guidance and partnership. Her passion for developing skilled, compassionate counsellors has created opportunities not only for her students, but also for the young people who have benefitted from their support through Inspire.
To every graduate, congratulations on this incredible achievement. We are proud to have been part of your journey and look forward to seeing the positive difference you will continue to make throughout your careers.
Thank you for the difference you have already made, and for the difference we know you will continue to make in the years ahead.
