Ipswich Opportunity Area are offering young people, aged 10-25 the chance to have their voice heard.
Funded in partnership with 4YP, the new Ipswich Pitch initiative invites groups of up to 10 people to come up with a concept for a project that will have a positive impact on the community, before presenting it to a panel of judges at the University of Suffolk on 6th March 2020. The project can be anything from a one-off event, a series of events or workshops, to a four-month programme.
With prize money of up £3000 each, three winning teams will lead and deliver their own project ideas in Ipswich between March and June 2020. Not only is it a great opportunity to introduce more innovation to the town, it will also enable young people to directly target topics of interest, such as mental health, the environment or LGBTQIA+.
If you’re interested in applying, Ipswich Opportunity Area and 4YP will be running workshops to help complete applications – simply email eve.dickens@syphp.org.uk for details.
All applications must be submitted by 14th February 2020, by email and you can download the application form here.
