Team programme spruce up Haverhill park

7 March 2017

Our Team programme based in Haverhill have been supporting the development of East Town Park as part of their Community Project stage of their course.  Team is one of our established education programmes working in partnership with the Prince’s Trust supporting 16-25 year olds who are not currently in employment, education or training. As part of the programme, the students are required to take on a project in the community.

As a Team, they decided that they wanted to have an impact on something which the Haverhill community could benefit from. They are re-designing and re-constructing a bedding and seating area in the park as part of the wider redevelopment. As you can see from our pictures below, they have had a very successful week working at the park, while developing their teamwork and giving them a fantastic experience to talk about in interviews.

This is just part of their work – they are now looking forward to returning to brighten up the park with plants and flowers and for the grand opening when the development is completed.

Our charity works hard to deliver the Team programme across Suffolk in partnership with The Prince’s Trust, which helps young people improve their confidence and self-esteem as they look to move on to new opportunities in employment, education or training. Find out more about the programme and where there is one near you here
