Learn to groove for a good cause

– Strictly Inspire fundraiser launches with date announced –
– We’re calling for people to volunteer to learn to dance and fundraise for us –

Our popular fundraiser Strictly Inspire is returning on 22nd July at Trinity Park, with this year planned to be the biggest yet.

Each year we host a glittering event in the style of popular BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. We are calling on supporters of their charity to register their interest to learn to dance and pledge to fundraise for the young people we support daily to overcome personal challenges and take positive steps into work, training or further education.

We have teamed up with Ipswich School of Dancing to train 10 amateur dancers culminating in a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ style fundraising event on 22nd July. Over the next 10 weeks, volunteers will rehearse two dance routines (a Latin and a Ballroom routine) with a dancer from Ipswich School of Dancing, which they will perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges including Ipswich born and bred Strictly star Robin Windsor. Training for the dancers is set to commence on 10th May at Inspire’s base in Lindbergh Road, Ipswich.

VOLUNTEER TO DANCE FOR INSPIRE SUFFOLK

We are currently searching for 5 men and 5 women volunteers to learn to dance for the event, who will all be expected to fundraise for our charity. Volunteer dancers must commit to raise £400 each for Inspire to take part in Strictly Inspire. The professional dancers from the dance school will also separately be raising money which will go towards Ipswich School of Dancing.

Your fundraising for Inspire will benefit the young people that we support every single day and really does make a difference. Our dedicated team and programmes support young people daily to overcome personal challenges and on to positive next steps, and your fundraising helps us to do so much more.

Inspire also will be on hand to support you with your fundraising, with ideas and motivation along the way. Dancers are also required to make a one-off donation of £40 to secure their place and take part.

Those interested in taking part are invited to register their interest with Inspire and a shortlist will be announced ahead of training beginning.

Terry Baxter, Chief Executive at Inspire says:

“Our Strictly Inspire fundraiser is always a popular and energetic night! Everyone works so hard training ahead of the finale, and it’s all for a fantastic cause. We are very grateful to be working with Ipswich School of Dancing again and look forward to an amazing grand finale.”

Emma Hawley from Ipswich School of Dancing says:

“We’re very excited to be joining forces with Inspire for this event once again! Our dance school is proud to support their charity carrying out life changing work with local young people.”
