We have partnered with Willis Towers Watson to offer over 200 young people in Suffolk the opportunity to complete the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.
NCS is a four week programme which enables 15 -17 year olds from any background to become directly involved in their communities. Participants are encouraged to develop a social action project addressing a local issue that they’re passionate about and developing greater confidence, self-awareness and responsibility.
The partnership between Inspire and Willis Towers Watson enables those who genuinely have difficulty in paying the sign-up fee, to have access to the course. There is a small sign-up fee asked from each participant to take part in the scheme, which although it is the only cost attached to NCS, for some young people this amount can make all the difference.
Terry Baxter, CEO of Inspire, said: “We are hugely grateful for the support of Willis Towers Watson for their commitment to developing the potential of Suffolk’s young people. We believe that the inability to pay to take part should not stand in the way of any young person’s opportunities.”
Mark Parker, Willis Towers Watson, commented: “We are delighted to enter into this partnership with Inspire. For over 40 years, Willis Towers Watson has operated in the heart of Ipswich; we have made it a priority to invest in the local community and young talent. We have worked consistently to ensure that Suffolk’s young people are given every opportunity to realise their life ambitions, and see this partnership as a vital part of that strategy.”
