Young people preparing to take their next steps

21 March 2019

As our young people get closer to finishing their Prince’s Trust Team programme they are starting to look at the skills they will need for their next steps. This week our young people across the county have been joined by the team at Flagship Group. They’ve been giving our young people all the tips and tricks they need for taking their next steps.

Flagship offered their expertise and knowledge to the young people. They ran sessions with our young people on our Lowestoft, Ipswich and Stowmarket programmes and covered all aspects of recruitment from how to apply to jobs to presenting yourself in interviews.

Zoe from our Ipswich Team said:

“After our session with Flagship, I feel like I’ll now be more motivated when I’m applying for jobs and completing applications forms.

I’ve learnt a lot from today and will be able to use all of their advice when I apply for jobs after finishing the programme”

Thank you so much to Flagship Group and all of the other organisations who have volunteered their time and supported our students preparing to take their next steps. We cannot thank you enough!

As well as having a visit from Flagship Group, the teams have had visits from NatWest who have been hosting mock interviews, tours around the University of Suffolk, information sessions with Turning Point on drugs and alcohol awareness, working to develop their CV’s and much more.

This week is so crucial for our young people, helping them to prepare for their next steps whether that’s into education, training or work.

Can your business offer time to support our young people with work skills like CV writing, interview skills or even host mock interviews?

We have programmes running all across Suffolk & North Essex and would love to have your help. Get in touch on 01473 353194 or info@inspiresuffolk.org.uk
