Ways you can get involved

Insight Days
A one-off experience where young people visit your workplace to get a real taste of industry. These can be big or small. Structured or informal. The power lies in the experience.

Careers Talks
Leaders and professionals visit us to share their journeys. Some focus on industry insights. Others share honest, against-the-odds stories that show what resilience can achieve.

Site Visits (Technical or Hands-On)
An indepth site tour of a live workplace. Young people might see specialist equipment in action, learn about compliance and safety or speak directly with staff in operational roles. These visits help demystify technical industries.

Work Experience Placements
For one young person ready to take the next step. We can prepare them beforehand to reinforce your expectations and ensure the placement runs smoothly throughout. You gain a motivated young person and they gain experience of an industry they’re keen to break into!

Apprenticeships & Employment Opportunities
If you’re recruiting, we can connect you with young people actively developing their employability. They interview as usual. You select based on your business needs.

Employability Programme Support
We run employability programmes focused on things like interview skills, team work and CV writing. Businesses can get involved by running mock interviews, giving feedback and more!
Spotlight on: Sizewell C
Our partnership with Sizewell C is already raising the aspirations of young people in Suffolk.
Together, we’ve run site tours that bring the project to life. Young people have stepped onto site, seen the scale of the build and spoken directly to the people doing the jobs.
We’ve worked with the Sizewell C team to shape sessions that make sense to our young people, including what jobs exist and what skills matter.
Through Young SZC, there are hands on activities, apprenticeships, internships and clear routes into industries like engineering and construction. Because of their support, we can prepare young people properly and support them to step forward with confidence.
