Out and About – Ipswich

You don’t always have to come to a youth centre to meet our team – sometimes we bring youth work to you.

Our youth workers head out into parks and neighbourhoods across Ipswich on Thursday afternoons, spending time in the places where young people already meet. Come over for a chat, get involved in an activity or find out what else is happening nearby.

Look out for us around Ipswich

You’ll mostly find our youth workers in parks and community spaces including Landseer, Queensway, Holywells, Murray Road, Gainsborough and St Augustines Recreation Ground.

We’re there to get to know local young people, bring along things to do and make it easier to find someone you can talk to.

Spot our mobile youth centre

You might also catch our mobile youth centre van out and about in Ipswich.

The van is equipped with gaming and activities, bringing a little bit of the youth centre experience directly into local neighbourhoods. When it’s there, come over, take a look and see what’s happening.

The van won’t be at every visit, but our youth workers will still be there to chat, share information and help you find other activities and opportunities.

How will I recognise the team?

You can’t miss us – our youth workers wear Inspire-branded uniform. If our mobile youth centre is with them, that should make us even easier to spot!

Our team will introduce themselves and explain who they are. They’re friendly, approachable and happy to answer questions from young people, parents and carers.
