Looking for somewhere to go on a Friday evening?

Our free youth club at Hadleigh Youth Centre gives young people a place to meet friends, relax and enjoy their evening with friendly youth workers nearby.

Based right on Hadleigh High Street, the centre has different spaces for different moods. Watch TV, play pool or games, get creative with arts and crafts, or head into the kitchen to make pizza and snacks. If you would rather take a breather, talk or spend time somewhere quieter, there’s space for that too.

Our youth workers plan different activities each week, but joining in is always your choice. You’re just as welcome to come in, find your friends and hang out.

What’s inside Hadleigh Youth Centre?

There’s more than one way to spend your Friday night:

TV, pool and games
Arts, crafts and creative activities
A kitchen for cooking pizza and snacks
Comfortable spaces to catch up with friends
A quieter room when you need less noise
Friendly youth workers to talk to

Some weeks might include cooking, challenges, or group activities. Other weeks are more relaxed. You can join in with as much or as little as you like.

A safe place with trusted youth workers

Every session is run by Inspire’s Hadleigh youth work team, also known locally as the Porch Project. Our youth workers take the time to get to know the young people who come through the door. They’re there to keep the session safe, help everyone feel welcome and offer support with the everyday ups and downs of growing up.

You can arrive with friends or come on your own. There’s no pressure!

When is drop in?

School years 7–8
Fridays, 3.30pm–5.30pm

School years 9–12
Fridays, 6.30pm–8.30pm

Booking: No advance booking needed – just drop in.

If it is your first visit, our youth workers will take a few basic details. You’ll then be given information for a parent or guardian, including a consent form to complete before your next visit.

Frequently asked questions

What is it like inside the youth centre?

Hadleigh Youth Centre is the place to be yourself, hang out with friends, and dive into a range of activities and entertainment. Our youth centre is located right on Hadleigh High Street. Think comfy lounge spaces, gaming room, and even a music room. Our kitchen is fully equipped to enable young people to learn to cook. It’s your space to relax, play, and spend your free time.
Do you need to book or register in advance?

Yes and No…

Open access and drop-in sessions

Sessions advertised as drop-in or outreach sessions do not require pre-booking or registration. These are open sessions, open to all young people in the community. When young people arrive for the first time, our youth workers will collect basic details in order to keep them safe during their first visit. They will then be given a letter for their parents or guardians and a link to a consent form. The consent form will then need to be completed by a parent or guardian before they return for their second visit.

Social Space and sessions for over 16s

We will ask you to complete a registration form when you come to your first session.

Other activities

Some activities may need pre-booking, such as some of our holiday programmes. This helps us to plan and ensure we have adequate resources for these sessions. Activities which require pre-booking will be listed on eequ.org/youthwork

Do you run activities during the school holidays?

We run a programme of activities during most school holidays. For some you will need book in advance, for others you can just turn up on the day.
