Free girls-only football on our 3G pitch.
More football. More time on the pitch. More opportunities for girls to play.
This session began because girls we were already working with wanted a football session of their own. Our other Turn Up & Play sessions remain mixed, while this one gives girls another way to get involved and play alongside other girls.
Whether you play regularly, haven’t played for a while or are trying football for the first time, you’re welcome to join in.
When and where?
Thursdays, 4pm–5pm
Inspire Ipswich, Lindbergh Road
On our outdoor 3G pitch
Sessions are completely free.
What happens at a session?
Our coaches and youth workers put on a mix of football skills, drills and games, with plenty of opportunities to get into teams and play.
You might work on passing, shooting, movement or ball control before putting it into practice in a game. Activities will vary, so there will always be something different to try and new ways to develop your football.
Alongside time on the pitch, sessions are a chance to get active, meet other girls and enjoy being part of a team.
Do I need to book?
No—just turn up and play. It isn’t a course, and you don’t need to attend every week. Come along whenever you fancy a game.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you can play football in and suitable footwear for a 3G pitch. You don’t need a full football kit, and we’ll provide the equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need to book for Turn Up & Play?
Places no longer need to be pre-booked!
Primary school age sessions – Simply bring your child to the venue a few minutes before the start of the session. There will only be a short form to fill in the first time your child takes part.
Sessions for year 7 and older – When young people arrive for the first time, our youth workers will collect basic details in order to keep them safe during their first visit. They will then be given a letter for their parents or guardians and a link to a consent form. The consent form will then need to be completed by a parent or guardian before they return for their second visit.
