Although the start of a new year can be a time for celebration, it can also be overwhelming if we don’t have a clear view of the year ahead. Are you a young person, aged between 16-25, who is looking to gain skills, confidence and work experience in Construction?
Step Up will be providing a two-week course in Lowestoft, starting 13th January, to give you an insight into the world of Construction and allow you to achieve free industry-related training and accreditation. This will include CSCS card training and Health & Safety Qualifications.
During August 2019, five young people took part in our two-week Step Up programme at Sackers Recycling in Ipswich. The five young people achieved their certificates and for a few of the young people, the Step Up programme also resulted in a job. Sackers proudly announced on their website that, ‘Tyler, 20, will be working in the metal shed learning about metal types and dealing with customers who bring their metal waste and Ryan, 21 will be on the picking line on the metal shredder sorting metals’.
If your career, or maybe even your life, feels as though it’s currently under construction, our Step up programme can help you find the tools to build your future.
Please contact our team on nextsteps@inspiresuffolk.org.uk, text 07590 983294 or call 01473 353 194 and we will be happy to provide more information or to help you sign up.
Are you interested in this course, but the location doesn’t suit you? Keep posted as more courses will be taking place across Suffolk later this year – we already have dates confirmed for Ipswich and Great Yarmouth!
