Our young people in Ipswich have been supporting the Willows Care Home by arranging lots of different activities for their residents to do. Part of our 12-week Prince’s Trust Team programme is a module called Supporting Others, which aims to support others in need and help our young people to become aware of different parts of their community.
The Team worked hard to research lots of different activities that would be suitable for the residents at the care home. They arranged a special visit from some Alpaca’s from Hilly Ridge Alpaca Farm, which the residents loved as they were able to interact with their new furry friends. The group were really pleased with this activity because it brought a smile to their faces!
They also arranged arts and crafts activities including colouring and painting, as well as different games including bowling, Scalextric, board games, giving everyone a chance to have a go at different things.
Everyone at The Willows Care Home was very grateful for all the hard work that our young people put into arranging activities that were just right for their service users.
After supporting the residents at The Willows Care Home the young people started to plan and prepare for their presentation that will be held for friends, family and supporters of our Prince’s Trust Team programme.
