Apprentice Groundworker
Elan Civil Engineering is a groundworks company with extensive civil engineering experience throughout East Anglia.
As a groundworker apprentice you will be working under the direct supervision of an experienced supervisor. The role is varied depending on the site and requirements.
What you will do in your working day
The duties include but are not limited to:
- Construction of foundations, roads and footpaths
- Installation of drainage and service ducts
- Laying kerbs, edgings and construction of car parks
- Excavation works General labouring
- Adhering to all Health & safety policies and legislation with Elan and the site
The training you will be getting
- The learner will be studying the Groundworker Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

NVQ or SVQ Level 1 or equivalent Maths and English (Grade Pass) Essential GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4-9) Desired
