Full support and training given at our busy 9 hole golf course with driving range and practice facilities. Working with experienced Head Greenkeeper. 5 day working week including Saturdays.

What you will do in your working day

Learn grass cutting and turf care
Machinery maintenance
Be inventive and input in to course development!
Work alongside experienced staff

The training you will be getting

On site training and monitoring by College mentor generally 1 day a month
You will be required to complete coursework

Golf Greenkeeper Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

After 2 years become qualified as a level 2 Golf Greenkeeper, Progress with qualification of level 3 if desire
Work towards becoming Head keeper in 5 years with earnings of £30,000 +

Desired skills and personal qualities

Communication skills, Attention to detail, Team working, Initiative, Physical fitness
Qualifications

GCSE or equivalent maths and English (Grade 4 or better) Essential
