Students at West Suffolk College had a taste of real business when they set about raising money for our Charity during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The world’s largest festival of entrepreneurship was taken up with enthusiasm by over 100 young people across several business subjects. In one week they had to make as much money as possible for Inspire. Groups were given £25 to use and make a profit so there were numerous events and activities held each day at the College. They ended up raising more than £3,000 for us over five days.
To kickstart the week our Chief Executive of Inspire, Terry Baxter gave a talk to the students. One group of students held a quiz night, there was a Fifa tournament, raffles held and much more. But the big event was a three course meal in Edmunds restaurant with a raffle and auction, which raised more than £1,855 in one evening. The event was supported by Hospitality’s Catering and Conservatoire East Performing Arts students who put on comedy improvisation for the guests.
Thanks so much to the students of West Suffolk College for choosing our Charity for your proceeds to go to and giving your all to raise as much as you could. We really do appreciate the support which will help us support even more young people in Suffolk.
