On Friday, September 30th, Inspire held their annual Charity Ball at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall. This is an annual event which raises money and awareness for their charity. Inspire work at the forefront of helping young people in Suffolk to overcome barriers so they can take positive steps forward. They want the next generation to feel empowered to raise their voices, achieve their ambitions, and realise their potential.
Their auction consisted of prizes including a wine tasting experience, football tickets, an eight night cruise, Grand Prix tickets, and a £500 restaurant gift voucher which was a golden ticket prize. Sizewell C, who have been dedicated supporters of Inspire and their work, were their main sponsor this year. EDF Energy said, “Sizewell C is delighted to support and work with Inspire, a charity which shares values close to our own, enthusing young people into fulfilling careers.”
From this evening, Inspire managed to raise an impressive £56,000, matching their efforts in 2021. They reached their fundraising target through sponsorships, donations, prizes and from everyone who attended the ball. Companies such as Hemisphere Freight, Maritime Transport and Elite Travel supported the event.
Terry Hunt, Chair of the Board at Inspire, said: “For reasons we are all aware of, the last two and a half years have been very challenging for Inspire, but I’m delighted to say that our brilliant team have worked incredibly hard to continue the charity’s important work in supporting young people.
I can’t thank everyone enough for their support, we are delighted to have been able to raise £56,000 at our Inspire Ball and are so grateful for everyone who got involved. We are looking forward to the next steps of our exciting journey and will be putting this money back into our work supporting young people onto a positive future. We hope you had an amazing evening and we can’t wait to see you at the next event!”
They also have their Inspire+ programme that was launched last year which encourages businesses to pledge their support and donate £1,000 each year to help support the charity.
