Opus People Solutions kick off this year’s fundraising for Inspire with Valentine’s Day Bake Sale, after raising £3466.37 for the charity in 2019.
For two years running, Opus has chosen Inspire as their charity of the year, after recognising the importance of supporting young people in the area.
Through fundraising and taking part in the charity’s events, Opus has raised £3466.37 which could help fund places for 7 young people on Inspire’s Engage programme. They have also played a significant role in helping to deliver the charities programmes, meeting with young people for mock interviews and offering advice.
To kick off their second year of fundraising, the recruitment agency presented Inspire with a cheque at their Valentine’s Day Bake Sale.
Inspire’s CEO, Terry Baxter, said, “We would like to thank Opus for all that they have done, and continue to do, for the charity. Their support helps us to improve the lives of many young people, all over the county.’
This month marks the second Engage course we have run. So far it has helped 17 young people, providing them with the skills they need to move on to positive next steps, such as training, employment or education. With the money raised, Opus hope to help reach even more young people with this transformational course.
Opus said, “We have been lucky enough to see the excellent work that Inspire does and the impact they have on the young people they support through development programmes, motivational education courses and engaging sport activities. We are thrilled to announce that we are extending our partnership with them for another year!”
