Employment & Skills Coaches

(Multiple roles across Suffolk covering East Suffolk, West Suffolk and Mid Suffolk & Babergh)
Help young people take the next step in their journey into education, employment or training.
About the role:
We are looking to recruit Employment & Skills Coaches to join our team, supporting young people across Suffolk to build confidence, develop skills, and progress into education, employment or training.
This is a rewarding and impactful role, working with young people who may need additional support to take their next steps. You’ll provide tailored information, advice and guidance, helping individuals overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
You will work one-to-one with young people, supporting them to explore their options, develop employability skills, and move towards meaningful and sustained outcomes. This role takes a holistic approach, ensuring each young person is engaged and supported in a way that works for them.
We are currently recruiting for three roles:
• West Suffolk – Typically 37.5 hours per week (fixed term for 1 year)
• Mid Suffolk – Typically 22.5 hours per week (fixed term for 1 year)
• East Suffolk – Typically 30 hours per week (fixed term until March 2028)
(These are mobile roles, working across the relevant local area).
Flexible working:
We recognise the importance of flexibility and are committed to supporting different working patterns and we welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time or reduced hours, and we are open to discussing flexibility for the right candidate. If you have a preferred working pattern, please include this within your application.
We are looking for someone who can:
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
• Inspire and motivate individuals to achieve their goals
• Deliver engaging employability and skills support
• Work independently and manage a varied caseload
You will ideally have experience working with young people in youth work, education, or employability settings, and have knowledge of delivering information, advice and guidance (IAG).
Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required along with an Enhanced DBS.
